A True Packers Fan

Atlanta-4

Colby and I spent this last weekend in Atlanta. Colby was dying to go to the Packers vs. Falcons game and he couldn’t find anyone to go with him. I had photography sessions scheduled and I didn’t know who would take care of the boys while we were gone. I decided to re-schedule my photography sessions and give my mom a call. She agreed to come stay at our house for a few days with the boys and thanks to my awesome photography clients I was able to re-schedule them so I could go to the game with Colby!

We spent all of Saturday in downtown Atlanta walking around and hanging out at the CNN center. We ate at McCormick & Schmits and it was delicious! We sure got a lot of smack talk because we were Packer’s Fans, but that didn’t seem to bother Colby one bit!

Atlanta-2

The Georgia Dome was awesome! I was a little nervous to go on the trip because I knew it was going to be freezing. After I found out the Falcons played in a dome I was good to go!

Atlanta-3

Thanks to an awesome co-worker, I was able to wear a Donald Driver Jersey! He is my favorite player!

Atlanta-12

We had some awesome seats! We sat on the 25 yard line just ten rows up! We could see everything! The only bad part….We were the only two Packers fans in probably that whole section!

Our section sure got quiet when the Packers took the lead! We were pretty excited!

I love this picture! It was just a random photo, but after I got looking at it, a fan is pointing to Rogers at just the right time! The view wasn’t too bad either!

This was probably the best part of the night! Cullen Jenkins started joking around with the Packers Fans and posing for pictures! He had all of us laughing!

I made Colby smile for one last picture! This was near the end of the game.

After the game, the Georgia Dome was completely full of Packers Fans! Everyone was shouting, “Go Pack Go!” I couldn’t believe how loud it was!

Atlanta-6

We had to ride the subway to and from the game. Can I just say I hate the Marta! It is dirty, smelly, loud, and there are a lot of scary people around! I am glad I live in Utah!

On Sunday morning we had to get up WAY TOO EARLY to make our flight! We only had about three hours of sleep! This photo was taken at about 3:30 am. We were so tired!

Colby and I had a lot of fun on our quick little trip to Atlanta and I am so glad we were able to go! Colby laughed because every game I have been to with him, the Packers have won! Maybe I should go more often right? I have became a true Packers fan and I love going to the games with him!

I can’t thank my mom enough for coming down and spending the weekend with the boys! I know how hard they can be at times. It was so nice to have a fun weekend with Colby as well as have a small break from the boys. As much as I love them, sometimes I just need some time away from them! Thanks again mom! I love you!

The Dark Side

Jan-12

Today I decided to go back to the dark side (related to my hair color) and I am kinda excited I finally got over my anxiety and did it! It’s a lot darker in person, but the lighting I had when I took this picture was terrible so I had to do some serious editing. In fact, it’s so dark I had to convince Trevin I was really his mom when I went to pick him up from the babysitter! The color will fade and I am sure someday I will go back blonde but for now, I will be a brunette!

Project 365

Jan 1

Day 1: One of my new years resolutions is to work out 4 days a week. The first day of each month I am taking a photo of myself in the mirror (sideways). A complete photo. Hopefully through the visualization of pictures I will be able to see my progress and not focus on the exact pounds I am loosing. There is no need to show the complete photo now. Maybe at the end of the year!

Jan 2

Day 2: I have been feeling very inspired lately. I have been browsing through old scrapbook magazines for ideas, inspiration, and advice.

Jan 3

Day 3: Today it snowed. A lot actually for St. George. Trevin loved playing in the snow and building snow angels.

Jan 4

Day 4: Trevin’s favorite thing to do lately is fill the kitchen sink with water and play with as many toys as possible in the water. Today, while I was getting Easton in the bath, he thought it would be a brilliant idea to put all his battery powered toys in the water as well including his Toothless Dragon and his Thomas the Train trains he got from Santa. I was not very thrilled!

Jan 5

Day 5: Loving my new typewriter and playing around with some fun new scrapbooking techniques!

Jan 6

Day 6: I give up! I am convinced Trevin is going to go to Pre-School and Kindergarten someday and still not be able to go “number two” on the potty. As of today, I am not even bringing up the “number two” subject with him.

Jan 7

Day 7: I caught Trevin in his room reading the Noah’s Ark book his Grandma Merry used to read to me. He is also wearing his girl PJ’s Grandma accidentally bought for him for Christmas, his Angels ball cap, and using his important finger to point to the animals. Overall, just a really unique and interesting photo.

Jan 8

Day 8: Easton got his helmet on Tuesday and does not mind it one bit! He is the cutest helmet head I have ever seen!

Jan 9

Day 9: Trevin started Nursery today (because we were at a baby blessing last week) and he loved it! This is the picture he came home with. When I asked his teacher if he was good she replied, “Yes, he was really good. He just makes the most odd sound I have ever heard.” Yep, that’s the tiger growl we keep getting him to stop making.

Jan 10

Day 10: Today Trevin wanted to make “muffins” for breakfast (while giving me a box of cake mix). I tried to explain these were not muffins but he insisted we make them. Nothing like having cupcakes for breakfast without the frosting! He loves eating the batter if you can’t tell!

Jan 11

Day 11: Last night I worked and was super tired this morning. I only got about 30 minutes of sleep before Colby had to go to school. I woke up to find Trevin at the kitchen counter with a cupcake mix salvaged open, a bowl, and some broken eggs. When I asked him what he was doing he replied, “Making you muffins for breakfast, Mom.” What a sweet little boy!

The Little Helmet Head

Easton-Helmet-1

I have been so busy enjoying life and spending time with my two boys that I keep forgetting to take a decent picture of Easton in his new helmet. He has become quite attached to it already and still doesn’t mind having it on. Today we have been watching The Letter Factory, playing with flash cards, and building tall towers with blocks. We have had cereal for breakfast, spaghetti O’s for lunch, and of course we are still in our PJ’s. I love these care-free kind of days!

We need to have his helmet adjusted on Monday because it still falls down over his eyebrow on his left side. We think he is the cutest little helmet head ever!

Helmet 1For any of you who may not already know, my little one had to be fitted for a helmet in December. We actually got the helmet on Tuesday, but I have yet to take a decent picture of him in it. I am hoping to get that done tomorrow. The day of the fitting was a little unpleasant for him towards the end. When we got the plaster in place and let it dry, some of the plaster got stuck to the baby hairs on his face which caused him pain when we pulled it off. Other than that, he didn’t mind having the plaster on at all.

We got the helmet on Tuesday and I was a little anxious about finally getting the finished product. What if he didn’t like it? What if it didn’t fit right? Was it going to be uncomfortable? Would it be easy to put on and take off?

When we put the helmet on him for the first time, I immediately thought he was going to cry. He didn’t make one peep. In fact, it didn’t bother him at all. We adjusted it, took it on and off several times, and he didn’t seem to mind one bit! I was shocked!

Then I thought, is it going to bother him when he goes to sleep tonight? Is he going to wake up in the middle of the night with a headache? (He never wakes up during the night). He slept the entire night and didn’t seem to mind at all.

He has been the same, happy little boy as he was before he got the helmet. Here’s to about four more months of wearing it…twenty-three hours a day. Wish us luck!
