I have been so busy enjoying life and spending time with my two boys that I keep forgetting to take a decent picture of Easton in his new helmet. He has become quite attached to it already and still doesn’t mind having it on. Today we have been watching The Letter Factory, playing with flash cards, and building tall towers with blocks. We have had cereal for breakfast, spaghetti O’s for lunch, and of course we are still in our PJ’s. I love these care-free kind of days!

We need to have his helmet adjusted on Monday because it still falls down over his eyebrow on his left side. We think he is the cutest little helmet head ever!

For any of you who may not already know, my little one had to be fitted for a helmet in December. We actually got the helmet on Tuesday, but I have yet to take a decent picture of him in it. I am hoping to get that done tomorrow. The day of the fitting was a little unpleasant for him towards the end. When we got the plaster in place and let it dry, some of the plaster got stuck to the baby hairs on his face which caused him pain when we pulled it off. Other than that, he didn’t mind having the plaster on at all.

We got the helmet on Tuesday and I was a little anxious about finally getting the finished product. What if he didn’t like it? What if it didn’t fit right? Was it going to be uncomfortable? Would it be easy to put on and take off?

When we put the helmet on him for the first time, I immediately thought he was going to cry. He didn’t make one peep. In fact, it didn’t bother him at all. We adjusted it, took it on and off several times, and he didn’t seem to mind one bit! I was shocked!

Then I thought, is it going to bother him when he goes to sleep tonight? Is he going to wake up in the middle of the night with a headache? (He never wakes up during the night). He slept the entire night and didn’t seem to mind at all.

He has been the same, happy little boy as he was before he got the helmet. Here’s to about four more months of wearing it…twenty-three hours a day. Wish us luck!
